Saorview Info

Saorview is a free digital television service owned and managed by RTE.
With Saorview you can get all of the Irish channels in digital quality and it's free. This will replace the current free analogue TV signal which you receive through your aerial. Analogue transmitters will be switched off by the end of 2012.
To switch to digital you won't need to change your television set. If you have an existing UHF aerial on your house this can be connected to a digital set top box to pick up Saorview channels.
Channels available at the moment are RTE1, RTE2, TV3, TG4, 3e, RTE News, RTE1+1 and RTE Jr. More channels will be available soon. If you purchase a combo box in conjunction with a satellite dish then you can tune in to many more free channels. See our range of Saorview Compatible Boxes.
To ensure there is digital reception in your area you can enter your address into the Saorview coverage checker at http://www.saorview.ie/make-the-switch/coverage-checker/coverage-map.
